About The Sports Page

The Sports PageThe Sports Page started publication in January of 1994. It is a family-owned and operated business that covers the sports action at 37 schools in West Central Illinois. Our paper has the advantage of being able to print only the positive news of High School sports. We steer clear of controversy and avoid negativism. Our weekly paper is delivered free of charge in over 45 communities, normally placed in convenience stores, fast food restaurants, grocery stores and other high traffic locations. The paper is also delivered to High Schools throughout the area and is frequently handed out at sporting events.

TheSportsPage.Net

TheSportsPage.Net, the online edition of The Sports Page, is a joint collaboration between The Sports Page and Computing Made Easy. The purpose of this site is to show even more of the many great photos that don't make it into the print edition. It is also possible to order prints of your favorite photos.

  • The Sports Page is Illinois' most widely distributed High School sports publication.
  • The Sports Page covers more schools and teams than any monthly publication in the state of Illinois.*
  • The Sports Page covers more teams than any of the 62 daily newspapers in down state Illinois except for the daily papers of Belleville,Bloomington,Decatur,Peoria,Rockford and Springfield, none of whom carry regular daily, weekly or monthly photo coverage of all the teams that they list in their reporting areas.
  • In many of the communities we cover, we are the only publication that has photos of local scholar-athletes in every issue.
